I saw this movie without ever seeing the first four, so I was clueless to the entity that takes over the boy in the beginning and the power that he had. I also didn't understand the fire attacking the firefighters at the mill and just who exactly David Carradine's character was (why did he pretty much explode?). The movie should've been longer to develop the characters and carry the mythology of the series better. Otherwise, this was just a half-hearted attempt at movie making. I found this movie incredibly boring.
