<p dir="auto">I think he was a better fit for Barney than Rick Moranis, he looked more like Barney and his Barney laugh sounds more closer to the actual Barney laugh than Rick Moranis's, just an opinion.</p>

<p dir="auto">I disagree, Rick Moranis was the better he played the part better,he had the personality of Barney down cold. John Goodman was the perfect Fred Flintstone, he just like Jackie Gleason's Ralph Kramden who the Fred Flintstone character was based on was a big boisterous blow hard that was a real soft hearted guy underneath that gruff exterior.</p>
