i saw the original and some episodes of the tv series barney was short why did they make him so tall in this movie wat do people unexplainably shrink in the prehistoric era it just doesnt make sense anyone got any explination?

Despite the bad casting of this movie, it works nonetheless. It reminds me of when lots of people made a ruckus over casting Michael Keaton as Batman. LOL Baldwin was an effective Barney despite his being about three times taller than the cartoon and having a dopey hair-do. LOL Addy was a good Fred, even though John Goodman really nailed the character before. The actress playing Wilma did very well, despite lacking the look and sex appeal of Liz Perkins. How about all the great sets, special effects, sounds? I thought the Mick Jagged character was one of the very best parts of this very harshly criticsized movie.

Agreed! Especially if you cast someone shorter like Mark (?) Addy, then whoever plays Barney needs to be really short in comparison!
And why was Wilma a freaking Amazon?!?
Ugh, the casting in this movie!
