You've conflated two issues, my apologies if I was unclear. Not being bitter about the hypocrisy doesn't immunise a man from the sadness of losing his family.

I can't, but he has a colourful enough history for me to assume that he is a philanderer. He had numerous affairs, fathered children outside of his marriage.He had an affair with wife no.2 whilst he was still married to wife no.1, in short he has form.
When a man has an affair, he's unquestionably evil, but when a woman has an affair she was in a loveless marriage, her husband didn't know how to make her happy, or she was manipulated in some way.

Of course it could be true love but my guess is that it is a mutually beneficial relationship where Boris has a glam young thing on his arm and she gets a powerful, rich husband. I'm saying that, if he was Boris the binman Carrie would probably cross the street to avoid him.

So, when the inevitable break up happens, and the then ex-PM is likely in his sixties and all alone, where does he find himself? And the now forty something, extremely attractive, full of potential young lady, with a financially secure child and a story to sell? What happens to her?
We live in a strange, paradoxical world. Women are just as emotionally strong as men, apparently, yet they seem to be the only ones who can be manipulated. Strange that. Something needs to be done about it. We need to turn the screw on men a little more.
