I actually like this one better than the second movie. I'll admit that I didn't like the beginning. Also, Donna D'errico's screaming wasn't convincing. Other than that I though she did pretty good. Putting the opening aside, I like the first half of the movie. Quite a few of the characters were likeable and entertaining. There were a few good scares and some great special effects in some of the scenes.
The second half was not as well put together. Some characters seemed out of place. It was not as creepy and suspenseful. As a whole the movie was not that suspenseful any way except for certain parts, but the second half was even less so. All in all I thought it was worth seeing and I like I said earlier better than the 2nd movie.

You like this better than the second? Really? I'm in shock!
The second for me still brings that fear, carries that scare factor and creepiness.
Also, it continues a good story for me and great acting.
Where as this - I find the acting absolutely appalling and the storyline falls flat.
Even Tony Todd hates this movie.
Each to their own, but I think this movie should have never been made.
The first is unbeatable though. Absolutely terrifies the $h1t out of me.
