I felt some sympathy for her at the beginning when she cried after a bad real estate showing, but the rest of the movie she is a lying, cheating hussy. The scene that really nailed it to me that she was pure evil was the 'couch scene' when she tells Lester - "There happens to be a lot about me that you don't know, Mr. Smarty Man. There's plenty of joy in my life. ".
Ugh, what a beyotch.

Does it really need to be explained?? He's clearly talking about the CHARACTER not the ACTOR.
And I completely agree with him, she was absolutely horrible, decades with that selfish, cold, uncaring battleaxe definitely justifies Lester's 'breakdown'.

I didn't say anything about the acting. Annette Benning won a well deserved Oscar for that performance.

Yeah, that's called good acting.
