*** WARNING SPOILERS ***
Wow! I used to watch this show back in '99. Then for some reason, I've never finishing. Today I saw the last episode!
What I didn't like:

  • They left so many things uncompleted. Many characters were just shown.
    The end was just waaaaay to fast. They've should used 2 more episodes to explain more. I have to admit that the shock of the last episode was quite impressive tough.
  • No final battle? Come on, an entire bunch of episodes full of "Kung Lao here, Kung Lao there" and he didn't have the chance to fight?
  • Those Immortals I found it pretty lame that they've killed everyone so easily. I mean, what's the point of waiting if you have those powers (maybe I've missed something in the plot? Shao Kan couldn't to this before?)
  • Some powerful characters, like Quan Chi and Shang Tsung never shown their real powers they kept acting like arrogant and being bad asses, but in the end they got pwned real easy.
    What I did like:
  • The girls ^^. I've never seen a show full of hot girls, including the "old hag in the forest". 🙂
  • Casting. The main characters were great. I think acting was good, you can see they've put much effort in this. Everyone was unique and useful. I hoped in some more "emotional involvement", but nothing is perfect 🙂
    Most of the actors were great. Anyway where did they found all those big guys? ^^
  • Rayden's end. I very liked this character, funny and powerfull at the same time. When I saw him playing with the blonde in the last episode I figured he somehow knew what was going to happen. Anyway I like the fact he loose in the end. A pity, but I even liked him more.
    By the way, he's a God, he was saying to be smart and s***, then he got pwned so easily without noticing?
  • Last episodes were stunning! I very liked the one that showed Shang Tsung story, how he has became evil.. I wish they've put more episodes like this.
  • I'm not a big fun of martial arts, but in this show they were in a good balance with the story part. Even I have enjoyed those moments, stunts were just great.
    Well.. I guess I'd like to see another season, but I don't think it's going to happen 😞
    Why don't they make these kind of shows anymore? 😞

I thought it was a great ending - one of the darkest endings in a tv series. Basically, the good guys get destroyed, earth is doomed, evil triumphs. The opposite of the norm and in that sense, it's very different, isn't it?

I agree. When watching it i was shocked how everything was concluding, and even though the show has been discontinued i'm happy the show ended on that note. Lives on fonder in the memory.

It was the perfect ending! imo
My ratings are not always like the IMDB average score because I only enjoy intelligent movies.

The ending was INCOMPLETE
It was actually meant to continue, it was MEANT to be nothing more than a Kung Lao Dream sequence, he dreamt that they were all dead and defeated. But the series was cancelled and stuff so it had to stop there no funding for any more eps

the ending was crazy. it was bittersweet. good, but bad at the same time because i was not ready for this show to end. i wish they would bring it back the same way, not a watered down version. the real dark, great story, great action way
