Yes, I liked Genesis the second time I watched it so I take back my previous post and think this is the worst.

This is the worst.

I think Genesis is the absolute worst, but this is the second worst to me. I am fascinated that it is called Children of the Corn 666 and it was made in 1999 (999 is 666 upside down). It is probably just a coincidence but little things like that always fascinate me.

i thought it was tolerable, but thats only because i like the Issac character, but still too many plot holes! how is he in a coma? how and who did he have a son with?? plot holes galore!

its entertaining i think if you get past Isaac's unrealistic comeback. on the whole i think its the second best film in the series.

have new respect for the remake now. at least it follows the short story
I agree; I respect that the remake followed the short story, but I just didn't think it was a good movie at all (although it was certainly better than part 6).

Out of all of the Children of of the Corn movies (which as of this edit, is all of them), it was easily the worst.
I would place them in this order, from best to worst (& really, the only ones I couldn't stand at all were the remake & part 6):

1. CotC
2. CotC IV: The Gathering
3. CotC VII: Revelation
4. CotC V: Fields of Terror
5. CotC II: The Final Sacrifice (it had a good story but pretty bad acting)
6. CotC III: Urban Harvest
7. CotC VIII: Genesis
8. CotC (2009) remake
9. CotC VI: Isaac's Return

It is certainly the worst, which says a lot given how bad the rest of the series was. Even Revelation was more enjoyable than this.

I agree with missmay722. I think this was one of the best sequels. It fills up a lot of the plot holes that the franchise creates. It's the second best one. My list is. . .
