I know for a fact there was a short story based on the 1ST, "Children of the Corn movie," and it spun off 6 sequels and I heard a 7th one and a re-make. The short story, you will find it in the book called, "Night Shift," written by Steven King; and I believe you can find most books at your nearest Barnes and Noble or any book store that carries books.
I hope this helps. Now, did they ever do a short story on the other, "Children of the Corn" movies, I do not know, I do not think so.
