Yes that does sound somewhat odd, but dark brown shows up different to black on black and white photographs.

Actually, I surprisingly have not see quasi-racist extremists criticising the film for casting Lee in the role of Jinnah. Such arguments are silly as 1) Europeans and Pakistanis are both Caucasian, Indo-European and just generally have the same types of features due to the climate not being that different to parts of Europe.
Plus, Christopher Lee looks a lot like Jinnah. It would be a wast not to cast him; I have not seen any Pakistani actors or anyone else who look as much like him as Lee does.
Also, this isn't really relevant but what colour hair did Jinnah have when he was young? It looks like dark brown to me but I am just going off black and white photographs.

i do agree. He played well.

He does look a lot like Jinnah; most likely why he was caste in the role.
How tall was Jinnah? Christopher Lee is six-foot-five, I believe.
