Blonde hair? How do you figure?

I'm going to have to totally disagree with you.
When I first saw him I thought: Blond hair, blue eyes, muscular, total lame action characterand then he became hysterical.
And as the series progressed he did a great job of pulling off the mental break his character experienced being thrust into a totally alien environment and one that's full of stress. He did an excellent job of portraying someone that was holding on by a very thin string.
And, as I said, before, he was pretty hysterical and totally entertaining.
