I got this out of the wal mart 5.88 bin. I was looking for a film to clown on, and this looked like fair game, so I scooped it up. I got it home and noticed that the English is dubbed, which sux but it doesn't bother me that much. It was an ok film. Nothing really special at all. First of all, the acting sucked most of the time to me, and unless the English dubbing is a poor translation, the dialogue really sucks. There were some just god awful lines in this film. Hearing them in the correct language wouldn't have saved them imo. 5/10

Also showing on FEARnet OnDemand, dubbed in English. Wasn't a bad flick, in my opinion.

I got so used to watching foreign films w/ eng subtitles that now I watch every movie w/ subtitles, LOL. B'sides my house is the noisiest place of all time so I'm often not able 2 hear the dialog that well anyway.

Did you try setting the audio to German and using closed captioning for sub-titles? I just posted that my Wal-Mart copy came with German as default so I put it on English. Of course, that was a mistake.

It's obvious that you're not used to watching non-english movies - cause otherwise you would know that the dubbing can make the difference. Me personaly, I prefer to watch english movies in english as well, cause even though the german dubbing usually isn't too bad every language has their own expressions and idioms. I can't stand the german version of "friends" (the tv series) but I find the english one was hilarious.
Concerning "Anatomie": there are better german movies, that's for sure - but this one's not that bad either.
my top 5 german movies:

"Bang Boom Bang"

"Absolute Giganten"

"23"

"Die fetten Jahre sind vorbei"

"Knockin' on heaven's door"
gum would be perfection!

The english dubbed version seems to be horrible compared to the original.
