i recently bought this game again in a second hand store and im currently stuck on the first few corrirdors where i keep getting killed coz theres no ammo and ya just cant avoid some of the zombies in the halls
now i remember why this one is the "return of the jedi" of the series..
just where is the shotgun?.and how do i survive long enough
i am a resi veteran and ive cleared all the rest but this one of really buggin the hell outta me

This one is probably the hardest RE game released in my opinion but I have to agree with Deferenz. From the OP's post I get the impression that he has mostly played RE4 and is having a hard time with the limited ammo of this classic game, although I apologize if I am wrong.
I was a kid when I managed to beat this game, you just have to be careful with ammo. Some of the tips I have learned are:
If you are new to the game pick Jill as your character as her run through is easier than Chris's.
Dont try to kill every zombie you see, if it can be avoided just run around it.
Pick up every herb you come across (if you have the space) and store it in the trunk for when you need them.
Try to always carry at least one herb with you.
Save your bigger weapons for bosses or tougher monsters like the Hunters.
Eat my coolness.

haha this one is my fav out of all of them and probally the hardest ^-^
the shotgun is on the gun holder dealie u have to go thru the room where the walls start comming in but if ur playing as chris you need the broken shotgun to get it but if u play as jill u can just go in there and grab it also
