I'm a lot later.I probably watched Norman for a few years earlier but the first review I remember of his was for Dazed and Confused in 93.After a funny clip it went back to him and he had that smile, he enjoyed that movie.

Here's hoping that Kermode gets the job. He's the best film critic around these days IMO. I think that Wossy was never right for the job anyway.

I seen a YouTube clip of the former producer of the show Iain Johnstone(former film critic on the Sunday Times) standing in for Barry, and also Michael Parkinson reviewing a Room With a View.
I think the earliest one I saw was Barry Norman reviewing Crocodile Dundee. From about 1991 onwards I regularly watched it. After Barry left I didn't really bother with it. Fortunately Rossy is leaving, meaning that the UK's best current film critic Mark Kermode has a shot at it, or failing Mark Cousins! I hope they go back to covering Cannes, and also do a proper Top 10 of the year, as well as a programme covering the summer blockbusters!

Hey that's cool.
I also have a few on tape: A review of Aliens from 1986. An hour special looking at the year's films from 1988, etc.
I don't think that Jonathon Ross is really a good replacement for Bazza Norman.
