hannibal is out and on the run for 10 years and fbi never thinks of using the only guy that captured him , to me thats a major plot hole

Will's story arc was finished after the events of Red Dragon. Hannibal was too infatuated with Clarice to even thibk about Will at this point.

That's my problem with the books. It leaves Will Graham's fate so unclear. I mean, I don't expect a happily ever after ending, but I felt like his story was never really truly finished.

At the end of Red Dragon, Lecter sets Francis Dolarhyde on Will and his family. Will survives, but barely. The only other mention of him is in Silence of the Lambs, where he is described as "a drunk with a face that's hard to look at".

What I want to know is what really happened to Will Graham? Did Hannibal Lecter go after him after he escaped or what? I know some people are saying that Hannibal respects Will too much to go after him, but we don't know that for sure.
