Will's story arc was finished after the events of Red Dragon. Hannibal was too infatuated with Clarice to even thibk about Will at this point.

The books have several continuity problems which keep them from being a great series. This is one of them.

That's my problem with the books. It leaves Will Graham's fate so unclear. I mean, I don't expect a happily ever after ending, but I felt like his story was never really truly finished.

At the end of Red Dragon, Lecter sets Francis Dolarhyde on Will and his family. Will survives, but barely. The only other mention of him is in Silence of the Lambs, where he is described as "a drunk with a face that's hard to look at".

What I want to know is what really happened to Will Graham? Did Hannibal Lecter go after him after he escaped or what? I know some people are saying that Hannibal respects Will too much to go after him, but we don't know that for sure.

i know that but the FBI never even tried to talk to him
He and his family were attacked and nearly killed because of Lecter last time. No way he'd want to help them now that he's actually loose.
Let's be bad guys.
