<p dir="auto">I'm a sucker for the classics, and in growing up at my grandparents' house, I often saw the original movies before the new ones.  But I found that when it came to preferences, a lot had to do with whichever one I saw first.<br />
For example, of course I prefer the original Auntie Mame to the musical Mame, and the original 34th Street to the 90s one, but I much prefered this Sweet November to the original, and Mel Gibson's Ransom over the original.<br />
I felt I could relate more to this version than the original.</p>
