Yes her hair was so cute!!

When I was in 8th grade I had a hairstyle heavily inspired by her in this movie, only not quite bright red, more like dark red. A few people told me I looked like Rachel Leigh Cooke and I was beside myself. It really was a good look for her.

That really was RLC's hair. She was photographed with it on red carpets while filming Josie and the Pussycats.

I know RLC had short hair when this was made, but I am suspicious her Josie hairdo was actually a wig. If it was her hair, then I want to know what the stylist did!

lol actually, I watched this movie for the first time in years last night and realized how much I LOVED her hair. I'm getting it cut kinda like that tomorrow. I'm super excited.

I can swear to you that I bet you pulled it off better than when I was 12 and obsessed with RLC's "She's All That" post-makeover haircut. I pretty much always had that same haircut but shoulder-length and without layers around the ears, but when I got it shorter and had those choppy layers it just did not work out well at all. My hair started getting thicker and wavy that year too so I basically looked like a puppy. Ugh. Damn you Rachael Leigh Cook and your adorable haircuts that make other girls think they can pull them off too.

Hahaha, when I was 14 I got my haircut JUST like Rachael's. I even took a picture from this movie and gave it to the hairdresser.
The sad part was I was never able to pull it off after the initial cut. It takes a lot more work than just a wash to get that 'do right!
