<p dir="auto">If there had been a sequel, maybe Josie and the gang would've gone to outer space. Sadly, box office returns were not good enough to merit a second film. <p dir="auto">You're thinking of a spin-off series, "Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space" from 1972.<br />
The original series from 1970 had no such spaceship. Moreover, this film is based directly on the comic book that preceded the TV series to begin with.</p>
