PLEASE SIGN THE AUSTRALIAN MOVIE CANDY PETITION
To Get Candy Released in U.S. Theatres
I am posting here to ask for your help and support for Heath Ledger's upcoming indie movie called Candy. This movie is based on a novel, and is a powerful story about two people who fall deeply in love and are also both addicted to heroin. It is a story about love and addiction. Please help support this movie, by signing this petition so that this movie can get worldwide release in theatres so that everyone can see it. This indie movie is not getting the recognition and support it deserves, and is in limited release. The North American distributor that was to promote this movie has not shown its support so, a group of fans and supporters of this movie and of Heath Ledger from the website Addicted To The Movie Candy (ATTMC) have taken the reins sort of speak, and are helping to promote it themselves.
This petition is VERY important because it will be given to film exhibitors that will buy this movie and who also decide on how much this movie shows in all the theatres, so this petition is vital to this campaign. We need to show the film exhibitors that there is an audience for the movie Candy that will translate into box office dollars. If we can prove we have enough of peoples signatures, they would be willing to buy Candy and show it in theatres. So, we need as many people as possible to sign it and please spread the word for others to do so as well. Our intended goal is 1000 signatures or more, but we have very little time as this petition closes on Oct. 4th. For those who may be concerned about their names showing publicly, you can sign the petition anonymously and your name will still count.
We need to have 1000 signatures by Oct. 4th!! All you fans out there of independent films and fans of Heath Ledger, please help support our efforts towards getting the movie Candy released worldwide and shown in all your local theatres, by signing our petition. Every signature counts.
