This has to be one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It has a very suspensful story line. It also includes great war, love, and sad "The things that make you wanna cry" scenes. I believe the three main characters: Heath Ledger, Kate Hudson, and Wes Bentley were very great in portraying their characters. Can't wait till this comes out on video!!!

i wholeheartly agree
I can believe that some people doesn't like these kind of films or think it isn't the truth that is shown. But i never saw anything pointing out that way. It's just a great action adventure story that can compete with most well made movies in it's genre. There's drama, action, romance in it and all waved in a very well shot cinematic way.
My wife and me did enjoy watching it!
8/10

I won't compare this with the 1939 classic version of The Four Feathers (or the 1929 version, but I haven't seen that one), but I liked Shekhar Kapoor's remake. It held my attention, the acting was not always good, but I had two hours of old-fashioned fun anyway!

I was suprised, I really liked this movie a lot! My favorite, of course, was wes bentley. He is such an amazing actor and he did such a wonderful character. It's like I felt what he was feeling and it was emotional. Very sad when he lost his sight. The only thing that sucked was that he didn't end up w/anybody. DAMN! Anyways, I thought it was great overall.

I liked it, but it really is a matter of opinion. You may have a different opinion than me and think that it was a horrible movie, but if you like this kind of movie like i do you with thoroughly enjoy it. If you are interesting in this movie what so ever, i advise you to go see it. Dont listen to people on here that say its a waste of time, it is worth it.
But,as i saidits a matter of opinion.

I liked it enough to get the DVD, and I also recommended the film to a few friends (something I rarely do). Everyone that rented it liked in, and two of them bought the DVD. It is a decent evenings entertainment, and it is particularly good for mixed company (male and female) as it has good military scenes and romance. I agree with Tik-Toks post. If you think this film is really bad, then you havent seen enough really bad movies yet.

I thorouoghly enjoyed the film. Some people will like, some won't.
The film was actually filmed in early 1999/2000 but the release was delayed because of what was happening in the Gulf. For this reason it didn't receive hardly any publicity. The scenes where they play rugby at the beginning were filmed 1 mile from where I lived, hence I remember driving past on the way to work!

I just watched this with my mom and step dad and we all agreed that it was good (~B) but the acting wasn't the problem. I was pleasantly surprised by the acting. The visuals were epic. And I still can't quite place my finger on the problem. maybe its just the story. it kinda just leaves you feeling depressed at the end and not in a good this movie really affected my profoundly way more like this move COULD have been way better.

This was not a bad movie, but it wasn't a really good one, either. The story holds up, though it could have been portrayed better. No, Harry was not a coward, he was a pacifist who was branded a coward by his closest friends and his fiance (except for his best friend).
The movie is Harry's redemption, to prove to his friends and to his girl (and to himself) that though he objects to being a soldier, he will not let his friends down and do anything to be by their side to support them. He makes a new friend in the process, who sees the strength of Harry's friendships and helps him save them.
"What do we do now?"
"Enjoy it"

To say that you don't believe in war, don't want to go to war, won't go to war,
etc. IS pretty brave (probably even more so in England that long ago!!! ^~).
Also, to follow into war (secretly) those same friends who thought you were
just a "coward" is brave both martially and socially, AND is probably more than
some of those friends even (act like they) deserve.
A large part of the whole point was, the "coward" turned out to be MUCH BRAVER
than any of his friends-who-thought-he-was-a-coward had expected him to be,
been mad at him for supposedly not being, etc.
(I feel like I'm stating the obvious. ^~ Anyone else agree? ^~ [That I'm
