~ The most touching scenes for me was when Harry helped Jack from the shot accident & Jack couldn't see and touched Harry's face & hair.(Whitout realizing that it was his friend.) Second touching scene was when Abou went to see Harry in one of his lowest and brought him food. Afterwards Harry tells Abou that He's not walking proud anymore & Abou was in tears. The third touching scene was when Harry visit Jack and he touched Harry's face & hair realizing that he saved him. All together this was a very beautiful and touching movie of friendship, courage & loyalty.

..this movie was about friendship in addition to love, loyalty, duty, etc. One doesn't see friendship like that often, but it is nice for the movies to show us what it must be like.

I gave this movie a 10/10. That scene is heartbreaking indeed.

There is a moment between Harry and Jack ("do we need a moment alone, Harry?") when Harry replaces the letters fallen from the table, and Jack recognizes Harry's face. Jack also states that Ethne is "quite beautiful, isn't she.") But he is saving letters he will never read, and hanging onto a woman who's pulchritude he can never savor. And he now has a (very real) physical reality that Harry is indeed alive, and that the real true love exists between Harry and Ethne.
Jack is also quite honest, and a real friend, when he admits to Harry how he envied the attention Ethne paid to him on the day when Harry was bested by Jack in a military exercise. "You were the only one she danced with."

Yup, because in Sudan when Jack is first blinded, Harry goes to him while Jack is hysteric and Jack is touching his face, probably forever ingraving the structure of Harry's (although he did not know at that time) face. Then in that scene near the end of the movie, Jack had an inkling that Harry was the one who saved him in Sudan and so he touches Harry's face, remembering what he felt back in Sudan.

That scene is where Jack realizes that Harry is the man who saved him in the Sudan. It's almost the same thing that happens in Africa, with the letters being dropped and Harry picking them up and handing them to Jack. I believe the letters were those that Ethne sent to Jack while he was at war. It was to show how Jack discovers that Harry came to him in the Sudan.
