Not really, that's the human condition. There will always be rape. At least they don't completely sugarcoat reality.

Pretty ****ed up. Sad, considering they were supposed to be an enlightened and evolved society.

There was quite a bit of rape on Star Trek.
The ancestral Native American tribe to which Chakotay belonged at one time suffered frequent rape by "white conquerors." One of these rapes produced Ce Acatl, a great leader of their tribe. (VOY: "Basics, Part I")
Lieutenant Ash Tyler remembered being raped by L'Rell while he was her prisoner in 2256. (DIS: "Into the Forest I Go")
An evil transporter duplicate of Captain Kirk attempted to rape Janice Rand in 2266. (TOS: "The Enemy Within")

I'm sort of passing through Enterprise again and the odd thing sticks out at me, like that time Trip was raped.
I know how he ends (Thanks Riker!) but what he, and the others, endured is refreshing to me on this second watch.

The facial expression is worth its weight but I'm not sure about the overall composition.

Ivan the Terrible Killing His Son is an Ilya Repin painting which depicts the horrific murder of the Tsarevich by his own father. The expression of regret and fear in the Tsar's eyes have been documented as the most notable aspect of Ilya's painting.
