I remember watching just a scattering of episodes when it originally aired, they kept changing the time it aired. I just watched them all on Netflix and realized that it was a really good series. A real shame that it didn't last a couple more seasons. I would have loved to have seen a war with the Romulans and the founding of the Federation. My favorite character was Shran played by Jeffrey Coombs.

I wish they would've just skipped the whole Xindi arc and just concentrated on showing how everything evolved into the Star Trek and Federation of the future.
The third season was just a whole year of filler.

spielberto; I agree with most of what you're saying. It's great to post with fans who actually liked the show. But I think fan (esp. Trekkie) intimidation pushed producers too far ahead near TOS' era. Kirk mentions "old style radio transmissions" during The Federation-Romulan War. And ships commonly getting lost in "storms".

I agree. It seemed to me that the fourth (last) season was when they finally hit on an interesting (I.e. "new") way of doing stories, as opposed to all the other Star Trek series: 3-4 part stories, rather than one episode=one story). While TNG did some two part stories, it was rare. Meanwhile Enterprise's fourth season seemed to be doing it all the time and with at least THREE parts.
The other thing being they were FINALLY getting to the 'founding' of the Federation. I just wish they had gotten into showing the 'invention/discovery/refinement' of things such as the phaser pistols, tricoder, etc (things we are familiar with).
