And I read someone’s suggestion that she fetishized his disability, and didn’t want to hurt his feelings.

I think Marcus knew it was Vi knocking on his door, because he went to open it not fully dressed.

She could have been hugging him for comfort, since she clearly regretted her encounter with her professor.
