gee, lets see here, we have a movie about a spoiled rich girl who beep herself up and takes no responsibility for her actions. And the young intelligent boy on his way to good future who beep himself over just cause the rich girls got a nice rack. Now let's say Kirsten Dunst's character was 100lbs overweightwhere would she be? Would the boy give it all up for her? NO. She'd be od'ing on daddy's couch, hunched over a bag of cheetos. And don't even tell me he likes her for her personality. He's after brain, but I'm not talking about the one in her head. Kirsten Dunst can't actyes, she was decent in Eternal Sunshineand that's.aboutit. See better movies peoplemovies that are worth something. Not this or "Thirteen" or any other movie even vaguely similar to pile of crap.

yea, lol, I cant disagree with most of his post but he lost me when he said eternal spotless, which I forgot she was even in that role it was forgettable, thanks for reminding and she did suck in it.
Now for his analysis. Why not? Okay, she was hot and was drawn to her but who wouldnt and vise versa. You wouldnt see her falling over some other dumb jock football player or some ugly nerd, or emo freak. So that was just the essence but there was more to it. Like the different dynamics of their background and their wanting to know more and enjoy each others company.
Without strife, your victory has no meaning.
Without strife, you do not advance.
Without strife, there is only stagnation.

waitthis is coming from someone who enjoyed her role in Eternal Sunshine? Where all she did was be a receptionist, and then dance in her underwear on his bed, have implicit sex, and then kiss the old guy? mmm i'd hardly call that decent
ok
I don't think Carlos wanted the rack and more, otherwise why would he be that uncomfortable with sleeping with her in the first time in her bedroom? Cos the windows were open? sheesh, he could have covered them up.do you think he enjoyed dating (just for her rack) a "white girl" when all his "latino" (sorry for lack of a better word) friends and family were dead against it?
she was like 19.and this is a teen movie. so if you were expecting an oscar, or an action thriller with un-seen plot twists, you came to the wrong screen.
lastly, this film does incorporate many aspects of teenage life that are relevant to many people, around the world. It may not be worth anything to you, but just remember that's your own opinion:)
