The way the film is lit coupled with her already pale skin tone makes her look slightly sweaty all the time.

The character of Nicole is a troubled teen who drinks, stays out all night, doesn't get enough sleep, doesn't eat right and with low self-esteem. You'll notice that the other characters look fine, right. That is what the director had intended.
