This has been bothering me for a little bit so here is my questionwhen she tells Mrs. Archibald that she put Mike's name on the list, was she serious or did she fib to her but, later on in the movie, change her mind and put his name on the list?
I'm not a gynecologist but I will take a look.

I believe after she saw how happy Mrs. Archibald (Kimberly Elise) was and after her little conversation with Grimes (Robert Duvall), where he says "for a minute there I actually thought you cared" she has a change in heart and decides to do what she said she had done. You see here calling another Hospital office shortly therafter and saying she is faxing over the recipents information so yes I believe that she lied at first, but then changed her mind.
