Is it just me or does the animation feel kinda rushed and lousy? In some shots of a few episodes, I noticed some things wrong like Vash raising his fist and didn't have any gloves on
Yeah, I had to submit a few goofs for IMDB; 1998 was a really good year for anime, but for Lord's sake did they have bad animation back then -_-

@ Unicorn. This why I was excited to find out that Trigun: Badlands Rumble was keeping the same animation style albeit with a higher budget. Minor continuity errors don't matter at all as long as the series story is wonderful

As you say, those are goofs. I would not say they influence the quality of animation as a whole, knowing how many people work on it. LOTR is full of stuff like Gandalf sitting on the right hand side of Frodo and then on a left, with a pipe and then suddenly without it and then with a pipe again. Would you therefore say LoTR was badly made? I know where you are coming from, but those are small details. Trigun animators did a very good job with character design and the backgrounds, which is far more important to me than gloves, buttons ad shoe laces.

Honestly, I think the animation on Cowboy Bebop was better since I didn't really find anything 'goofy' in it, but Trigun, that's not all. There were was another goof in the show that I've noticed Vash having the missing glove again in ep 26 whilst he is typing in a flashback memory counts.

I agree with UnicornBeautiful animation doesn't matter at all if the story doesn't work, or characters are weak. Little details like a missing glove, or button on a coat is a little overblown isn't it? Trigun's great story makes up for the animation not being able to match Samurai Champloo in terms of vivid colors, or quality. I understand that you are just mentioning your findings after watching the series, but everything you mentioned really doesn't take away from Trigun's impact, and weight as a story.

I was not disrespectful to you in any way, so I don't get why you get so worked up by what I said. If you only want people who agree with you to respond, please precise it in your opening post! Disagreeing not equal to despising.
All I said is that details like this do not matter to me. You are entitled to your opinion, but does it really matter all that much whether Vash has three buttons on his coat in one scene and then two in the next? I saw Trigun what, two times, and if I have not noticed missing headphones or a glove here and there, it somehow did not change the way I saw the series as a whole, and I certainly do not intend on sitting in front of my TV with a magnifying glass now. So my point is- details do not matter if the whole thing works and is coherent. Besides, the series still has got some great and detailed animation, and by no means I would call it bad as a whole because of some random details. I would understand if you said it is bad because they forgot about the head or arm or something
No6 just aired this summer- and is an example of how pretty animation is worth nothing if not backed up by good plot. For the first few episodes you sit there thinking "Awwwwww, this is great" and for the second half you wonder why did they let a 5 year old finish writing the script.

Unicorn Blade, if u shut the beep up and just watch the series again, you'll know what I'm talking about.
'Vash enters a bar, in the next shot, his earphones disappear and reappear.'
OK, I'm sorry for getting mad at you, but you gotta learn that you can't overreact and despise peoples' opinions and what they see. If you think the animation was adequate, that's fine
Besides, what is this No.6?

Pardon me, but I've never heard of No6, and it was in a Trigun message board, so yeah I missed the "this season" part so you can see my confusion.

If you paid any attention to what I wrote you would have noticed I was talking about
a series called No6 that run this current anime season
, and not
episode number 6 of Trigun
. Trigun did not run this season but a good few years ago, from what I know.
It is a pet peeve of mine when people respond without reading the whole post.

You thought Lost July was rubbish? That's the episode that started revealing fascinating bits about Vash (and part of why he has such a horrific reputation).
I loved that episode.

Detailed animation and loads of colours is not all. I have just finished No6 that run this season. Amazing colours, stunning animation and character design, and rubbish plot that ruins the whole pleasure of watching. Id choose plot over animation any time, and besides, stuff you talk about is tiny detail I would not even worry about. There are things like this everywhere- Samurai Champloo (one of the last episodes) features Mugen coming out of the sea with his hair all wet, a shot of his opponent, then back to Mugen with his hair all dry and puffy as usual. Somehow, I would not say Samurai Champloo has got bad animation
