<p dir="auto">I thought of it too. Both movies deal with domineering mothers and mentally disturbed daughters but Black Swan is way much better film.</p>

If you google for it you will find many movie critics drawing parallels. But to be honest, this general theme, the sacrifices people make for art, how perfectionism destroys their personality and the family that creates the environment where such is thing is possible  is something that has came across me in a couple of movies since.<br />
