<p dir="auto">Catholic birthright is high. I see that Catholics and Protestants are about even now.<br />
Still, the Scotch-Irish Protestants are a settled community which has been for their centuries. I can't see the UK abandoning them. Many people ignore that there is a Scottish v Irish ethnic conflict as well as a religious one.<br />

<p dir="auto">The Scotch-Irish Protestant majority in Northern Ireland isn't going anywhere either. I don't see it.<br />
It's not the majority it used to be.  Ulster is close to 50% Catholic. I see the two sides being evenly matched as a signal for trouble ahead.<br />
