A better idea would be a historical movie with perhaps the Djinn creating mayhem in some earlier period. There are at least a few thousand years to tap for future movies.

that would be interesting, but it would be an absolutely terrible movie. they seem to have gone down in quality, so i don't doubt that unless wes craven comes back to do a new one, it'll be terrible. and even if he touches this ever again, which i hope he doesnt, it'll probly still be pretty bad, watchable but bad.

Andrew Divoff was the best djinn in these movies and he kicked ass in the 2nd one.
