just wondering, since with every sequel the gore lessened in terms of amount as well as in terms of quality. so is this worth a look? with which of the previous parts would you compare it gorewise?

the gore was really inconsistent but it was a fun movie and had a good plot. it had some pretty funny parts.

This one kinda WAS a romantic comedyat least the "romantic" part.

I just got done watching itand man oh MAN, do I feel robbed.
There are several wishes where there is no gore at all, likenone.
Ie; this lonely/horny lady at one point wishes she was having some "killer sex", whichcome on, given some of the scenes in the first few movies, had me thinkin "Sweeeeet, here we go, this chick's gonna GET IT"
I mean come on, the possibilities are endless. So what does the Djinn do to her? She levitates, back against the wall, while having a seemingly painful orgasm. Fully clothed. Fully in tact. Fully blood-free. And then the scene ends! I was like "WHAT? Are you friggin KIDDIN ME?"
Or another big missed opportunity- a bartender says he'd sell his soul just to be a pimple on one of the stripper's ass. Could have been great. All that happens is the guy disappears. He justdisappears, and what's worse, later in the scene when you get several very, VERY nice looks at the stripper's ass, thre isn't even anything on it.
The message I basically got from it was that the budget was only big enough to afford X amount of special effects, and they were saved for scenes that revolved around the main characters. But the part about it that sucks, is the fact that the only really enjoyable parts about ANY of these movies are the random people who get effed up in really creative/gory ways. Plot is just a formality. If you ask me- if you don't have a big enough budget to throw in random/pointless scenes of gratuitous blood/guts/goremake a romantic comedy instead. At least then you can pretend like it's SUPPOSED to be a movie for weak-stomached wusses.
