Quite a few similarities.
Guy is actually a killer secret agent a fact that he's forgotten and the plot involves him piecing back together his old life.
He's surprised at himself when he discovers that he has martial prowess.
He is directed to obtain a case (a bank box in this case, a briefcase in Totall Recall), in which he finds money and other elements of a useful "kit."
A girl is along for the ride.
His former employers want him dead.
Obviously many differences later on, but the setup is uncannily similar.
