Don't get me wrong. I didn't think it was a bad film, I liked it just fine for what it was. But from the trailer I walked into it thinking it was a horror film along the lines of
The Sixth Sense
or
The Others
. I didn't think that the film was that scary at all. It was far more a drama then a horror film.

Actually, it gave me the impression of being a horror film too. That's exactly why I didn't want to go see it when it came out in theaters. Actually, if I'd thought it was like
The Sixth Sense
I might have gone. I saw that as a psychological suspense picture, not horror.
Let's just say that God doesn't believe in me.

Let see the Genre line: Drama / Fantasy / Mystery / Thriller (more) (^_^)<<<
If you are referring to the genre line as indicated here in the IMDB, I guess it changes over time because it currently (December 2/2007) reads: Drama / Fantasy / Horror / Mystery / Romance / Thriller (more)
I agree with the original poster though, this movie was made out to be a supernatural thriller when, at the most, it was a drama with a sprinkling of supernatural elements.
