<p dir="auto">While watching this film it reminded me very much of Crash (2004), with the focus on marriage/relationships rather than race. I found Lantana to be far more subtle, and by far the better film for that reason. But why does a film like Crash win the Best Picture Oscar, while Lantana was ignored by international awards? Just because it's American?</p>
