Just saw this movie. Ironic that the whole movie is about trust and how hard it is to trust others, yet Valerie's death stemmed from her inability to trust someone who was trustworthy.

As for the pirated copies, I prefer quality DVD's, but Lantana is not out in Russia, so the only way to watch it, is to buy a pirate copy.

Rather ironically there was no killer.
The unemployed chap (sorry can't remember the character or actor name) spotted her waving for help near the phonebox. He was giving her a ride home, but she became nervous when he took a shortcut off the beaten track and she jumped out the door and runs into the bush. That's as good as I can remember it.
Maybe if you buy or rent your DVD's in the future you won't have this problem.
I can understand the temptation to obtain bootleg copies of movies that are banned or no longer available through the proper channels, but if you really are a movie lover why would you want to jeopardise the industry, most noticeably harming lower budget and unusual titles such as this one?
