STORIES ARE RIFE WITH RED HERRINGS, AND THESE muddy the waters and dilute the tension. The double episodes stretch the plot out so much that by the time I get to the end, it's anti-climatic. I try to work my way back, but am slogging through so much contrivance, the solution to the mystery slips through my fingers, in fact, often eludes me.
Boyd is not Trevor Eve's best characterhe smirks and hams his way through it. I'm not engaged by the young crew and Grace's psychological analyses needed a forensic psych consultant on the set. I had a quarter's worth in grad school and I can tell you, she is a primitive profiler, strictly for the layperson.
O.K. Having said all this, can't stop watching as the shows appear so promising at the start, hook me in and then I just have to follow through to my utter disappointment.

Ha Ha. Now you've made me want to resume the show as I forget who Jordan is. I probably already loathed him/her, but nothing like loathing some more.
Nice to see some one agrees with me cause I'm used to more of a pile on or simple contempt. Or the b word, which I did flag, my first flag ever.
I love your "currently binge watching.." signature!
Well,here's to binge-watching.
And I was once so ga-ga over my first DVR and all the Betas I could see in a row. Yes, from the "video store." Remember those?
My daughter and I had such a prolonged binge the first week we got the player that she tried to turn our outside lights off with the remote.

Late response, but I've only just started watching this show.
You've hit the nail on the head, in my opinion.
My main annoyance has to be the characters. Boyd and Jordan equally coming off as a-holes, so much so that I loathe either one of them. And the rest of them, not interesting to me in the least.
I plan on watching what's left on Netflix before it expires, and while they only have up to season 5, I'm in no hurry to watch the rest of the series. I'll get to it some day, as I'm sort of a completionist.
~Currently binge watching: Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger & Waking the Dead~
