I always liked this programme but watching old episodes I am struck by how crazy some of the plots are.
We don't often get a run of the mill murder.
The maddest plot must be DEUS EX MACHINA,it involes a secret society,MI6,arab revolts.
I think because it was on so long people forget how good it sometimes was.
The acting was good from nearly everyone,Sheila Johnstone was great as Dr Grace Foley,everybody knows Trevor Eve's work.
I am really liking Tara Fitzgerald the second time around and realise I must have missed a lot of episodes over all the years it was on.
Can other,better informed, fans tell me if here are any series I should avoid ,I guess I will end up buying them all,especially if HMV keep having their sale.

For me it lost its way a little towards the end, still excellent however. Watch them all is my advice.

Sue Johnston and I think all the series were great. There isn't one series that I would want to miss.
