After over 1000 (upset) combined posts in the IMDB Information thread and the thread on this board - you make both of those threads "read only"? You can't take the complains so you just shut it down? This is an embarrassment.

Everyone is upset about this. You clearly don't care about your users or the people who built this site to what it is. Just look at all these comments Greed kills the passionate movie fan.
What's next? Are you going to shut down your social media too? Your facebook page is flooded with upset people as well. Posts with 100+ likes on each comment. The petitions have 10,000 combined signatures in 3 days.
