the Met doesn't have a Deputy Chief Commissioner and Assistant Chief Commissioners, it has a Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioner. I think the Beeb's bleeped up, there.

Back when the Met. had the different departments identified by letters, the A.C. of 'C' department (crime) would be referred to as "A.C.C.", just like the A.C. for 'B' department (traffic) was called A.C.B.
That ended in 1985, so it really wouldn't apply, I suppose.
