<p dir="auto">Back when the Met. had the different departments identified  by letters, the A.C. of 'C' department (crime) would be referred to as "A.C.C.", just like the A.C. for 'B' department (traffic) was called A.C.B.<br />
That ended in 1985, so it really wouldn't apply, I suppose.</p>
