When the cold case squad finds the "murder room", it is hidden behind an office, with some manner of new wall laid over the door. Are we to believe that the killer did this before leaving the scene? Was the office building vacant at that time? If not, wouldn't someone else from the company have noticed that there was a new wall hiding the "murder room"?
We are told that the bullet exited the woman's back and was dug out of the wall. However, there doesn't appear to be any mark on the wall: no hole, and certainly no blood.

The murder room was a secret room. Unless you knew where the catch was, the wall wouldn't slide back to reveal the door. When the murder happened, the door was already revealed. The killer knew how to conceal the door and did so after killing the victims.
