Al Checco plays the Dad in this, don't see it in his IMDB Bio, though? Great character actor. Played the Studio Boss in the Blake Edwards comedy "The Party" and a ton of other movies and tv shows. Check it out on archive.org. It's him all right!

No it isn't. The father is played by J. Edward McKinley. He's been in a ton of TV shows. The first two roles he played that popped into my head are the 1965 Munsters episode 'Underground Munster' as Mayor Handley, and the 1965 Andy Griffith episode 'The Cannon' in which he played Gov. George C. Handley. - kh
