I can't see any curse. It's two people out of hundreds who worked on the movie.
So many stories, so little time.

Let's see .
*Jennifer Esposito nearly died in 2008 at the age of 35. After being misdiagnosed with depression she was admitted to a Psych Ward where her symptoms then became severe and debilitating. Fortunately, and just in time, she was correctly diagnosed as having Celiac disease (which incudes symptoms of anemia) and was successfully treated.
*Michael Douglas was diagnosed as having tongue cancer on August 16, 2010. A tumor eventually grew to the size of a walnut under the back of his tongue. It should be noted that numerous American specialists, at first, misdiagnosed [apparently this happens a lot] his ailment. It wasn't until he later went to a Canadian hospital that the Stage IV cancer was discovered and treated.
BTW, in April of that same year, Michael's son, Cameron, was sentenced to prison for five years on drug charges. He apparently wasn't a model prisoner during this time either. Also, in 2004, Michael's half-brother Eric, 46, died from a drug overdose.
*Famke Janssen? Well, mainly, she continues to be casted in occult themed movies and TV shows throughout her career. Hmm.

I predict that every person involved with this movie will die, some day.

While we were watching this, my wife reminded me that the girl playing the crazy chick was dead.
I told her "Yeah, no kidding, she doesn't look good at all".

Both lost in their youth . I wouldn't say that the movie is
not
cursed. Its also spooky that the movie was mostly filmed in New York City around the time of 9/11 . I don't know for sure but I surmise that filming wrapped up before then. Rather ominous that Michael Douglas' character uses the phrase "Ground Zero" midway through the movie.

I wouldn't call it a curse, it's nothing like the Poltergeist series curse. Its more a tragic coincidence.
And to the poster who said that both Brittany Murphy and Skye McCole Bartusiak died of drug overdoses. FALSE.
Skye may have but she had a seizure disorder as well, Brittany died from pneumonia and anemia

I agree, people are too quick to jump to conclusions. There is nothing curse-y about this; it is merely and amusing, if tragic, coincidence. It curious however that both of the young girls from the movie died of drug overdoses. Fortunately Famke is unlikely to follow suit.

I think the use of the word "curse" is totally misplacedNot into that at all.
Although I note that the husband of Brittany Murphy died within a few months the following year.
Along with all the conflicting reports,it makes disturbing reading. Whatever.
