<p dir="auto">She played a great role, sort of in three phases.  Her changes were due to the life situations of the character 1.) Nobody knows her past  2.) Her boyfriend knows her past and she's going back into it  3.) Her boyfriend knows her past and she has a new life now.<br />
He portrayed the correct level of naivete for who he was in the movie.  He was nervous and  going through love for the first time.  The combination was what it should be.  The chemistry was desire + awkwardness that was somehow natural.  I thought the movie and the acting delivered.  It's not your everyday romcom.  Some of it was really subpar but the romance and how it was played was spot on IMO.</p>
