Did he go to jail for just the murder of the dealer or both or also for killing Spyder? They should have said something!
Also, with Spyder dead, assuming he didn't get to Gina already she wouldn't have to be afraid of anything and could come back and Joey's dad could help her I thought she was a good person.

Gina turned back to drugs, so shes either working as a crackwhore, in a dumpster (killed while crackwhoring), or cleaning herself up someplace which is a long process.

Joey isn't condamned for killing Spyder, but for the self-defense against "Picasso".
At their first meeting, Vincent explains to his son that he will probably get 6 years for self-defense (at that time, the second murder hasn't already taken place).
I'm astonished that in America you go to prison for self-defense. ???
Edit:
Yes, it is never said in the movie what becomes of Gina. The characters, especially Vincent's girl friend, only presume that she won't come back.
