All the Australian versus American versus aside, the American version is a breath of fresh air compared to the typical network comedy with the perfect family and their "token" friend of another race who lives next door. There's little jokes that you would miss if you don't listen, plus the straight up camp factor. Kath is all the time saying things that are totally wrong and she doesn't realize it. Like when she says "Ce'st La Vie" as Seize The Day when she should have said "Carpe Diem." and how she sent the Indian family next door a cute little Christmas card with Jesus on it, totally unaware that if they were Indian they more than likely were Budhist or Muslim. Nothing is ever good as the original, but the American Kath & Kim is an oasis in TV networks of bland comedy.

Perhaps, but the point is still the same, they more than likely weren't Christian.

Isn't the Indian family next-door more likely to be Hindu?
Or was that a joke at yourself?
