1. This was a made for TV movie. It was part of a series called "Creature Features".
2. The DVD back-cover says it "was inspired by the Arkoff horror classics of the `50s".
3. It's low-budget, B-movie-style.
4. Nastassia Kinski looks great and get a lot of screen time.
5. Bobby Edner is on screen the most, and his face, and only his, is on both the two different DVD front covers I've seen.
   So they managed to fill maybe two hours (with commercials) of network time with a thin campy, B-movie, horror flick, that had:
   -minimum action,
   -minimum violence,
   -minimum FX,
   -maximum pretty woman and cute kid.
   I think you need to be mindful that the filmmakers' agenda was to fill TV time, and just hold the audience on the same station through all the commercials. They're not really thinking about box-office opening weekend, foreign, ancillary, sequels, etc.

The story is king.
