Tells all about the 60's and 70's rock scene groupies from someone who was there. The GTO's (Girls Together Outrageously) were the real Banger Sisters, and were really named by Frank Zappa, and the "Rock Cock" photos had to be the Plaster Casters.

Well,yes, sort of.
But Pamela didn't invent being a groupie, and she wasn't the only groupie.
She's just the most self promoting ex groupie.
And I was there.

If so, then they managed to use it without paying her for the rights. She should sue!

I think it was inspired by, but not necessarily based on, Miss P's works. I remember reading an interview with Pamela des Barres where she said that she'd spoken to Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson about their movie roles (this and Almost Famous) and both were asking her "So how did I do? Did I get it okay? Do you like it?"
The actors seemed to look to Pamela's stuff for inspiration, and there's a lot of similarities in Vinny and Suzette's stories for the scriptwriters not to have casually leafed through I'm With The Band!

Don't know, but too many coincidences and similarities. I don't think Pamela got a credit for this.
