Other than a few of Chris Eyre's films, there are few I know about.
Are there any unbiased documentations of Native Americans or films by Native Americans that are not widely known?
Feel free to post them here and let me, along with many others, know about them too ^_^

"Trudell" is amazing. I highly recommend it. A Native American is the director who has become quite prominent in the world of Native American film, Heather Rae.
There is also a really funny movie that just so happens to be about Native Americans called "Christmas in the Clouds." Graham Greene and Heather Rae are both in this movie, among others. I laughed so hard! It is a great family film. I highly recommend it.
I definitely believe that everyone should see "Incident at Oglala" as well as "Trudell." They both speak volumes.

The PBS Hillerman books made for tv movies that are produced by Robert Redford are great- i wish he would produce more of the films or ones dealing with amer. indians
Nobody notices the sober Indians. On tv the drunk Indians emote In books drunk Indians philosophize

Mmmm, I'm having trouble thinking of any films myself other than Chris Eyre's work but I know a few people who are knowledgeable about this subject. If you or anyone else is interested, I belong to a message board and a brand new website about Native American themed art forms like films, actors, art, writers and photographers etc. The website is just getting started and it went live this month on the 15th. The folks that have created it and run it are well informed people and have a real love for this subject.
If anyone is interested in viewing or joining, it's at http://www.thenaica.org You have to move your cursor over the dots to gain access to the various parts of the site but you need to have Macromedia flash 8 installed on your computer for it to work.
AlterNATIVEly, you can just join the message board for now at www.thenaica.org/phpBB2
